Orange
The 5G laboratories represent an Orange initiative developed in collaboration with technical universities around the country and industry partners that aims to support researchers, startups and companies to test their 5G-based solutions in advance in the 2 laboratories present in Bucharest and Iași. 5G Lab was created with the aim of being an open environment for various economic actors and developers to support 5G education and foster innovative projects that will change the way we live tomorrow.
The two Orange 5G Labs are part of an international initiative of the Orange Group that aims to develop an extended 5G Lab network in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Currently, at group level, 18 laboratories have been launched, and in the last 2 years since the start of the program, more than 2,000 companies have benefited from access to Orange 5G Lab resources, and more than 200 of them have received support to test or develop their 5G-based services.
